Markham, Matt, and I recently spent some time at Moss Rock. We all enjoyed the escape from city-life. I look forward to returning soon. Next time I’ll try some boulder problems too.
New wall going up at the gym, supposed to be problems set by Thursday. Psyched. This membership is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.
Thought I’d follow-up a depressing post with some pretty rock and blue skies. Got to spend the day recently out at Horse Pens 40 with my brother and mother. Sent some stuff, but overall felt pretty weak. Lack of climbing for almost 2 months has been brutal.
My brother pictured here at Stone Fort close to Chattanooga, TN. We made the treck up there this past weekend to climb, attend the brewfest, and hang with Todd, Paul, Chas, and friends. It was also my 24th birthday weekend so I enjoyed getting away from Birmingham for a short time, having some fun, and visiting with folks. We also made it out to Deep Creek on Sunday. Unfortunately I was hungover and Travis twisted his ankle on the hike in so he couldn’t climb. Chattanooga seems like a really interesting place to live. I’d like to spend some more time up there whenever possible.
A little glimpse of how I spent some of this past weekend at ‘Beg, Borrow, & Steel.’
My brother and I at the outlook in Sandrock, AL. Quite beautiful, really.
